SR20 smarthome+router

Hello Folks,

Recently, I got a tp-link SR20 smarthome router. At first, my impression was that it is severe limited and restricted due to its firmware: (very limited number of devices, instead of all the devices that comply with the standard (z-wave, etc) and very limited and basic interface (only possible to add devices via a phone app, which really is non-sensical).

Any idea of making it usable? Maybe a firmware (like dd-wrt, tomato, etc). Hardware wise it seems that it has what it takes to be a great gadget.
