A typical smart switch (like the Enbrighten/GE) can not only turn on/off light via wall switch but also via Zigbee (remotely). As I understand, pressing the button also generates an event that can be used in Home Assistant, for example.
My question: Can these switches generate an event, independently from from the light switch? Say, for example a long press would generate an event but does not toggle the light.
I have these small battery powered Aqara switches that support short press, long press, double press, release etc.
Reason: In my living room, I'd like to switch the main ceiling lights as normal (single push). But I'd like to switch my standing lamps (smart light bulbs) with the same switch, for example with a double tap or a long push.
Is this possible?
If not with the Enbrighten/GE switches, which ones could do that?
