One thermostat to rule them all

So we have a bunch of those not so energy efficient in-wall electric heaters. I looked all over the web for a solution that has one smart thermostat to control the multi rooms to no avail. It's baffling that in this day and age there isn't a relay transponder that can be installed behind the existing manual thermostat and be controlled by one smart thermostat centrally located to control each room or enable/disable remotely.
